The wedding day is one of the most important days in ones life. Starting from big things such as the venue down to the small details like small gifts for our guests, everything must be perfect. We hire a professional photographer to capture all the beauty and charm of the day. And we end up with gigabits of photographs on a disc… How many of us go through the digital files and feel the magic of the day? And if you do, how many times are you going to do this? As a photographer I believe the actual physical print is much better than the digital files somewhere deep down in your computer’s memory.
There are a few options for you to choose from regarding the presentation of the images from a photoshoot. I believe that print and enlargements are the best option for a family or newborn photoshoot. But what about the wedding images? Even though prints can satisfy you and be your “thing”, I am nearly sure that a wedding album is the most beautiful way of presenting your photographs in a memorable storybook fashion.
Wedding albums are a beautiful keepsake from your big day. Available in different colours, sizes and fabrics (e.g. metallic, leather, photo cover). You can also decide on what material your pages will be: glossy, matte or lustre. A glossy finish will make the pages looking shiny and brings out bright colour. A matte finish is the least shiny and also it is the most popular professional choice simply because it reduces fingerprints and glare. A lustre finish would fall between glossy and matte. You even have a few options regarding your album style: traditional, matted album & magazine style.
They used to be the most popular before the digital era.
– Images are placed on top of page
– Picture arrangement is quite limited
– May have tissue interleaves
– Photographs are placed behind matts
– Contemporary and traditional option
– Can have limited layouts
The magazine style albums are great if you want to present their mini versions to your parents.
– Images are your pages
– Modern and unlimited design
– You are getting a preview of layout for acceptance
You might be a traditional type or a magazine style type – it doesn’t really matter what type you are. As long as you can always take your album in your hands, sit on the couch with your husband and family and dive into these great wedding memories of yours with people you love.
